Hannah Stahl
(Children’s Division)
Hannah Stahl started her ballet training at the age of 13 with Elise Flagg, former New York City Ballet soloist under the direction of George Balanchine. During Hannah’s time at Elise Flagg Academy of Dance, she learned various Balanchine works including Concerto Borroco, Divertimento No. 15, Raymonda Variations, and Jewels Variations. She has also rehearsed and performed excerpts from other classical ballets such as La Bayadere , Don Quixote (Dulcinea Variation), and Swan Lake (Big Swans). During the summers, Hannah spent her time training with Carolina Ballet (2017) and Grand Rapids Ballet (2018, 2019) at their summer intensives on scholarship. She has had the pleasure of working with many teachers and choreographers such as; Debra Austin, Megan Fairchild, Val Caniparoli, Marcus Galante, and Robert Weiss.
At 18, Hannah moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan to enroll in the professional program at Grand Rapids Ballet School under the direction of Attila Mosolygo. She was then offered a traineeship by artistic director of Grand Rapids Ballet, James SoFranko. At her time with Grand Rapids Ballet she performed Val Caniparoli’s ‘The Nutcracker’ in the Corps de ballet. After moving back to Chicago in 2020, Hannah continues to train and dance professionally as a freelance ballerina in the area. For the past three years she has performed for multiple productions, including Salt Creek Ballet’s ‘The Nutcracker’ and ‘Swan Lake’ in Corps de Ballet and Demi Soloist roles
